- Call for an energy audit – 1 877-732-9888 / Cost is $300 + GST (you will receive $150 rebate from the Ontario government towards the cost of this audit).
- An eco ENERGY audit takes approximately 2 hours to complete. Your certified ecoENERGY auditor will be happy to answer any questions pertaining to energy in you home. The auditor will need access to the entire house including attic, crawl space, heating and cooling equipment, or any other hard to reach areas.
- An eco ENERGY report will be mailed to you within approximately 2 weeks containing recommendations on how to improve the energy efficiency of your home. This is a comprehensive report including Federal Government grant amounts for each recommended change. The Ontario government will match each Federal grant amount with an Ontario grant amount of equal value.
- After reading your ecoENERGY report you may choose to do all, some, or none of the recommendations. Any upgrades done to the home must conform to the specifications outlined in the government ecoENERGY grant tables to be eligible for government grants. Please keep all receipts, photos and product literature.
- Please call to schedule your second audit (approx. 1 hour) when you have completed all of you planned upgrades. You can apply for ecoENERGY grants only once per house. The cost of a second ecoENERGY audit is $150 + GST. You can expect to receive your federal grant cheque within 90 days of your second audit. Your Ontario grant cheque will follow.
